UNVEILING WINTER BOREIUS!

Being young with an ever working mind is no easy trait to possess, so we sat down with our Vaculan EIC to discuss exactly what motivated this move into this realm of media. There are not many outlets for young artists of color in all realms of media, and with millions of ideas Boreius could not stop harping on one stand out decision, A DIGITAL MAGAZINE! "I want to showcase those that may not get to showcase themselves." Says Boreius. Its challenging to be different in this world, and the arts have always been a safe space for so many people of color. On the day he decided this avenue of going into journalism is the correct path, he declared from that day forward there will be true purpose behind Vaculan. Its name curated from the immortal Dracula, the mathematical definition of vector, and the enchanting city of Avalon. Symbolizing eternal adaption and leaving room for the arcane to be understood by the mundane. "We always see the rapper or singer or actor as the first point of contact. But what if we flip that and shine a light on those who dont get a chance to be promoted." So thats exactly what he did. With the goal clear and his mind set on pushing this agenda of shining the spotlight on the hidden Vaculan was born. The meaning of Vaculan is to unveil all that has been thrown into darkness (intentionally/unintentionally) with light and the power vested within oneself. "Im happy to see where this goes and i cant wait to have so many other cool people weild the emerald sword of Vaculan and be apart of this years lineup." We cant wait to continue to enhance Vaculans brand's visibility goal and we are super excited to start this journey, helping you connect with new faces and understand the not-so-talked about forms of art.

NEW MUSIC IN 2026?

"Music is always going to come first. But, for now, I think I need to understand where I need to go with the next things I want to do." Says Boreius when we asked about new music. "I canceled the release of the [Son of Apollo] deluxe, and I think at the time it was just the right thing to do and for myself to not worry about rushing a lot of things that shouldn't feel like a burden. Music should feel and be more like a sub genre of therapy to me, as it has been for so many years. It shouldn't be a thing I put out and not care about. Which, yes, I cared about the songs I had written but I did not care about the process of getting it done." Says Boreius. With starting a digital magazine and then pushing to further his career in music the calendar is filled to the max and the goal post is evermoving now. We asked Boreius what exactly does he want to do next? "The calendar is definitely filled for this first half of the year. I mean there's so many behind the scenes things that's being built and nourished and prayed over right now that I cant wait until everyone sees the final product. I want to show my big 3 this year. The main things I've been wanting to get into and do since I could first pick up a pen. or use a needle, or read a book. My mind is such a vast universe with many different stars just waiting to shoot to new destinations so i cant wait to let them shine brighter than before. Lots of big things in the works i just got done shooting somethings and im very very excited to see the editing process once it starts. but overall there is alot im keeping quiet and for now even on my own homebase of Vaculan we will all find out in due time."

Conclusion

Boreius’ vision with Vaculan stands as a bold response to the lack of space afforded to young artists of color across media. By choosing a digital magazine, he creates an accessible platform rooted in purpose, imagination, and community. Vaculan is not just a publication, but a philosophy built on unveiling what has been overlooked and honoring creativity in all its forms. Drawing from myth, math, and mysticism, the brand reflects Boreius’ belief in constant adaptation and intentional growth. His commitment to spotlighting behind-the-scenes creatives challenges the industry’s tendency to focus only on its most visible figures. That same intentionality carries into his relationship with music, where patience and emotional honesty now take precedence over speed. By stepping back from rushed releases, Boreius reclaims music as a form of therapy rather than obligation. As Vaculan continues to develop and his creative calendar fills, the foundation being built is clearly meant to last. Whether through journalism, visual art, or future musical projects, his goal remains rooted in meaningful expression and connection. Vaculan’s journey has only just begun, and its light promises to illuminate new voices, new art, and new possibilities.
